Day 1: About Mozilla

We will give you a chance to look at the big picture of Mozilla; who we are, what we believe in, insights into the Mozilla Egypt community, and how to get involved .

Also we'll talk about new mozilla technologies as

- shumway (http://mozilla.github.io/shumway/) : an HTML5 technology experiment that explores building a faithful and efficient renderer for the SWF file format without native code assistance
- togetherjs (https://togetherjs.com/) : open source JavaScript library by Mozilla that adds collaboration features and tools to your website

Join us to learn, hack and celebrate the Firefox OS, Mozilla's open source operating system for the mobile web

Goals
- Help developers get started building Firefox Apps
- Educate and inspire developers to work on HTML5 apps and submit them to the Firefox Marketplace

What to bring
Bring your Linux, Mac or Windows development machine and device(s). We will provide everything else How to get started now (optional)

Apps. Apps. Apps. The Firefox Marketplace is looking for open web apps that work well on mobile for Firefox OS and Firefox for Android. But we’re interested in all kinds of web apps. You can bring an HTML5 app that you’ve started and want to continue, finish, polish, or just present

Firefox OS Apps challenge
The Firefox OS Apps challenge aims to foster the development of apps for this new platform. The developers, grouped by teams, have to program an operative (runnable) application using HTML5 APIs to access the browser capabilities, but also the device capabilities. In addition, apps can integrate internet web services to extended features
